Inspiration for new plot

We drew inspiration from these films for our opening sequence, the reason being is that our film begins with the end of the narrative. This usually creates enigmas for the audience from the start. This is done in  Memento due to the non-chronological order which represents the mental state of the central protagonist, where the disorientation reflects his way of thinking. The order in the films gives the audience an insight to their mental state, as they too experience confusion and a sense of displacement.
This is evident in our sequence in that the reasons and events leading up to the act of revenge are unknown to the audience, however, this foreshadows the events to come and creates dramatic irony for the audience as they are already aware of how the plot ends.

Chelsea and Shafaah.
